Family Violence Specialist

Working with vulnerable families experiencing domestic violence is a highly rewarding and challenging career opportunity.

The successful candidate will deliver case management services that promote safety and empowerment for clients, using a client-centered approach to support their needs.

This role requires strong travel skills as you will visit clients in their homes in the Central Coast region on a regular basis.

To be successful in this position, you will require a minimum of 2 years' experience working in domestic violence or a related field, accompanied by tertiary qualifications in a relevant area such as Social Work, Welfare, or Psychology.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of current Child Protection and DFV legislation, as well as experience in group facilitation and networking/advocacy skills.

Additional requirements include a Working With Children Check, Criminal History Check, NSW Driver's Licence, and insured vehicle.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality case management services to clients experiencing domestic violence.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to promote client safety and empowerment.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of client interactions and progress.

Qualifications and experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in domestic violence or a related field.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Welfare, or Psychology.
  • Knowledge of current Child Protection and DFV legislation.
  • Experience in group facilitation and networking/advocacy skills.
