Acting as a specialist, you will provide expert advice to colleagues and clients on the intersection of domestic and family violence with child protection.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting team members in identifying potential domestic and family violence situations.
  • Collaborating with lead practitioners to complete assessments at key points during client engagement.
  • Participating in case consultations and providing recommendations on risk and safety implications related to domestic and family violence.
  • Offering guidance to team members and enquirers on safe interaction strategies for families affected by domestic and family violence.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in a relevant field (allied health, psychology, social work, human services).
  • Safe and Together accreditation or a willingness to pursue required modules.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with children and families, with at least 3 years in a domestic and family violence capacity.
  • Knowledge and experience in addressing domestic and family violence, including its impact on children and families.
