Surgical Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join our busy Surgical and Orthopaedic Units. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, demonstrating strong clinical skills, and working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary health team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, utilizing clinical decision-making and hands-on care-giving skills for a range of acute surgical conditions.
- Apply clinical assessment procedures to evaluate health status, identify, and apply timely care interventions for best patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with clinical peers, General Practitioners, and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Develop effective interpersonal and communication skills to enhance patient care, accuracy of clinical records, and team trust and confidence.
- Comply with and apply current policies and procedures, demonstrating an understanding of their implications for nursing practice.
- Current registration with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated acute surgical care experience, including patient management following surgical interventions.
- Relevant medical experience gained in an acute environment, demonstrating knowledge and skills transferable to a surgical unit.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build trust, promote confidence, and satisfaction with patients, families, and support persons.
