About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to work in a fast-paced environment, managing the care of acutely unwell post-surgical orthopaedic patients. You will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional patient care, demonstrating a high level of clinical expertise and compassion
  • Manage the care of acutely unwell post-surgical orthopaedic patients, including pain management and observation/reporting post-operative complications
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our unit
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and support persons, promoting trust, confidence, and satisfaction
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification and current registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated acute orthopaedic experience, including patient management and pain management strategies
  • Relevant medical experience gained in an acute environment, demonstrating knowledge and skills transferable to a role in a surgical unit
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
