Local Transport Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable driver to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position, responsible for transporting goods and materials between farm sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transporting goods and materials between farm sites.
  • Conducting routine pre-start vehicle checks and basic maintenance.
  • Identifying and reporting vehicle faults or hazards.
  • Working in compliance with health, safety, and biosecurity protocols.
  • Performing manual handling and physically demanding tasks.
  • Maintaining accurate delivery and log records.
  • Communicating with team members and supervisors to coordinate logistics.
  • Operating in a safe, efficient, and respectful manner at all times.

Requirements:

  • A valid HR licence with proven experience and competency.
  • Mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot breakdowns.
  • High level of physical fitness and stamina.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to follow all safety, biosecurity, and operational procedures.
