The position of Intensive Care Registrar or Trainee is available in a major teaching hospital in Melbourne. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing care to critically ill patients.

This 800-bed teaching hospital delivers a wide range of healthcare services, including emergency medicine, critical care, oncology, and psychiatric services. As a leading provider of medical education, the hospital has strong affiliations with Monash and Deakin Universities.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Details:
The ICU is a 13-bed level III facility that provides comprehensive care to critically ill patients. Staffed by 8 intensivists and 13 registrars, including 4 advanced and 8 basic trainees, the unit has a broad general case mix excluding cardiac and neurosurgery cases.
Training and Development Opportunities:
As a registrar or trainee in the ICU, you will gain experience in clinical adult Intensive Care Medicine, including training in various critical care techniques and therapies. The College of Intensive Care Medicine has accredited the hospital's ICU as an extended site for training in Intensive Care Medicine.
Requirements:
- AHPRA Registration or Eligibility
- CICM Trainees/Onshore ICU Registrars
- International Medical Graduates with ICU Experience Coming Via the Competent Authority Pathway Eligible for Provisional Registration - NZ, UK, Ireland
