We are seeking a Support Worker who is available to support a variety of shifts Monday to Sunday. Day shifts may be 6am-1.30pm or 1pm-6.30pm, and evening shifts including sleep over shifts span 6pm-6.30am.

As a Support Worker, you will assist our customers at Boronia Cottage on Bribie Island, which is a modern, purpose-built home for short-term respite care as well as customers in the community.

No two days are the same, and your duties will include delivering personal care, domestic assistance, meal preparation, accompanying our customers on shopping trips and appointments, community outings and activities, providing general companionship, and helping our customers build social networks.

About You

While a background or qualification in community services would be advantageous, more important are the attributes that you possess that speak to our values. We want our customers to have a great experience with our people, and our people need to have a great attitude, be friendly, willing to learn new things, and most importantly listen and understand what the customer wants.

To be successful in this role, you will be required to be physically fit, hold a valid Driver's Licence, and be willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes, ensuring that your vehicle is appropriately insured. A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, and CPR and First Aid certificates are also required in this position.
