Job Title: Allied Health Assistant – Ward 5A

Description: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Allied Health Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team at the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Inpatient Unit. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with children and young people, providing support and care in a dynamic environment.

About the Role:

  • As an Allied Health Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting Senior Occupational Therapists in planning and implementing group and individual Allied Health programs, focusing on assessment, treatment, and support of children and young people with complex mental health issues.
  • You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, comprising doctors, nurses, therapists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective outcomes for patients.

Requirements:

  • To be successful in this role, you will need to have completed an approved Allied Health Assistant Training Program or a minimum of one year's study towards an Allied Health Degree.
  • You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
