We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Horticultural Specialist to join our team at Ardent Leisure Group. As a key member of our Life Sciences department, you will play a vital role in maintaining our leaf plantations and supporting the care of our koala and tree kangaroo populations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform leaf cutting, planting, fertilizing, watering, slashing, and general maintenance of our leaf plantations.
- Assist in feeding our koala population and provide general animal husbandry duties.
- Work collaboratively with our team to achieve conservation and horticultural goals.
- High level of energy and physical fitness to perform physically demanding work.
- Willingness to work outdoors in a bushland environment and in all weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Current Apply First Aid qualification.
- Current QLD Manual Drivers Licence and ability in 4-wheel drive operation.
- Previous experience in a similar environment such as farming, nursery, grounds, or basic plantation maintenance.
- Tertiary qualifications in any of the sciences, particularly horticulture.
