Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Care: Assess and manage resident health conditions, monitor vital signs, and administer medications and treatments as required.
  • Wound Management: Manage and dress wounds, prevent infections, and promote proper wound healing.
  • Healthcare Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans based on resident-specific needs and medical conditions.
  • Assessment and Documentation: Conduct thorough health assessments, maintain accurate medical records, and document changes in resident health conditions.
  • Pain Management: Address pain concerns and implement pain management strategies.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle medical emergencies and coordinate responses as necessary.
  • End-of-Life Care: Provide comfort and support during end-of-life care, including palliative care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current AHPRA Registration: Must have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation Standards: Possess knowledge of aged care accreditation standards and regulations.
  • Adaptability, Passion, and Willingness to Learn: Demonstrate adaptability, passion, and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
