Crop Specialist Role

As a crop specialist, you will play a key role in supporting clients across Queensland by providing expert advice on crop management and sustainability. You'll work closely with growers to identify opportunities for improving yields and reducing costs while promoting environmentally friendly practices.

This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role that requires strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients. You'll need to be proactive in identifying areas where your expertise can add value and develop strategies to address these challenges.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored advice on crop selection, soil health, and fertilizer use
  • Conduct site visits to assess crop health and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop seasonal programs and input plans to support client success
  • Collaborate with other specialists to provide integrated solutions for growers

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in agricultural science or a related field
  • Practical experience in crop management, agronomy, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of crop physiology, entomology, and plant pathology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
