Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at the Southern NSW Local Health District. As a Staff Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to children and adolescents, as well as contributing to research and teaching in the field of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to children and adolescents with complex mental health needs
  • Supervise junior medical staff and provide guidance on child and adolescent psychiatry
  • Contribute to research and teaching in the field of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to children and adolescents
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for children and adolescents with mental health conditions
Requirements
  • Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Psychiatrist
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Fellowship of the RANZCP and/or other specialist recognition
  • Membership of the Faculty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, RANZCP, or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
