Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Expert to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering annual budgets and re-forecasts, preparing business cases, and providing financial insights to drive decision-making and improve overall performance.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and high-level financial analysis, modelling, and business reporting skills. They will also possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with teams to agree budget/forecast assumptions and derive volumes and produce financial plans.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinating and preparing annual business planning and rolling forecasting
  • Working closely with teams to agree budget/forecast assumptions and derive volumes and produce financial plans
  • Developing financial plans and forecasts based on sound assumptions and monitoring expenditure to ensure all financial targets are met
  • Analysing actual expenditure, explaining variances, and advising on options for using available budget
  • Managing end-of-month and year-end financial processes according to Group timetables and accounting policies
  • Providing accurate financial performance information and forecasting expected outcomes
  • Recommending and implementing process improvements and business simplification initiatives
Requirements
  • Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant qualification
  • 3 years' experience in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting
  • Strong knowledge of business case development and high-level financial analysis, modelling, and business reporting skills
  • 8 years' relevant post-graduate business experience, including an accounting or commercial management role
  • Tertiary qualifications in fields of business, accounting, and/or economics desirable
  • Strong Commercial Acumen, Communication, and Stakeholder Management Skills
