Financial Planning Professional

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to support the Head of Commercial Finance and Head of Group Financial Planning & Analysis for a 12-month fixed term contract.

The successful candidate will play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and analysis across the business. From preparing detailed cost analysis and reporting to supporting business cases financial modelling and identifying financial risks and opportunities, you will be a critical contributor to our financial success.

  • Support the Head of FP&A in coordinating financial planning processes across brands and functions, including the three-year strategic plan, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts.
  • Assist in the bottom-up build of detailed budgets and forecast, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Review detailed expenditure by cost centre during month-end close and collaborate with wider Finance team to ensure accurate accruals.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports with variance analysis and commentary, comparing actual performance to budget and forecast.
  • Manage end-to-end Head Office employment budgeting, forecasting and reporting and collaborate with payroll team to ensure correct allocation
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities through in-depth analysis and deliver insights to guide decision-making.
  • Contribute to business case development and support ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
  • Provide financial guidance to cost centre owners and support them in understanding and managing their budgets.
  • Proactively educate brand teams on financial processes, increasing awareness of the value finance brings to strategic and day-to-day decisions.

Key Capabilities:

  • Experience as a Finance Analyst in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate financial insights clearly.
  • High attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and the ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working with PowerBI or any other equivalent BI tools is a plus.
