This key position supports decision-making within the Emergency Management sector and the broader Australian community through the interpretation of climate services, forecasts, warnings, and outlooks.
Main responsibilities include:
- Leading the emergency management team to understand and meet customer needs effectively.
- Overseeing teams focused on understanding priority customer needs, analysing user interactions with products and services, and providing operational decision support to the National Emergency Management Agency.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as emergency management, meteorology, or a related field is essential for success.
Proven experience in emergency management, hazard preparedness, and response is highly desirable.
Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills are critical for achieving success in this role.
