Environmental Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our community complies with public health, environmental, and land use regulations.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing exceptional customer service to residents and stakeholders while resolving issues through consultation and decision-making.
- Managing workloads and responding to tasks within specified timeframes to ensure all duties are completed efficiently.
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, including the Local Government Act, Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, and Protection of the Environment Operations Act.
- Assisting with evidence gathering, accurate note-taking, preparing and writing reports, and presenting information effectively.
- Collaborating with colleagues as part of a cohesive team and providing support when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health or an equivalent qualification accredited by Environmental Health Australia or nearing completion thereof.
- A current C Class driver's license.
