Job Title: Mental Health Inpatient Enrolled Nurse
The role of an Enrolled Nurse in a Mental Health Inpatient setting is to provide high-quality, person-centered care to patients. This involves working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- To work under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, providing direct care to patients and contributing to the overall management of the ward.
- To develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, their families, and other stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met and their rights are respected.
- To participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practice in mental health care.
- To work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing competing demands and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- To demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in mental health care.
- To collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
- A current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct nursing practice in a manner that respects the rights of individuals and groups in the context of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills.
- Knowledge of and ability to work within a person-centered approach to nursing.
- Demonstrated understanding of quality improvement and evidence-based practice with recent clinical experience relevant to the position.
