We are seeking a skilled engineer to help support our growing user base and work on new and exciting projects.

Job Description

The mission of our company is to make sure that reading is never a barrier to learning. Our text-to-speech products include our iOS app, Android App, Mac App, Chrome Extension, and Web App.

Our team has recently been recognized for its achievements with Google naming us the Chrome Extension of the Year and Apple naming us its App of the Day.

This role is ideal for someone who thinks strategically, enjoys fast-paced environments, is passionate about making product decisions, and has experience building great user experiences.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Leading engineering and product decisions
  • Shipping production code for our iOS app
  • Participating in product discussions to shape the product roadmap
  • Maintaining and enhancing our existing complex app architecture
Requirements

An ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working on products that scaled to a large user base
  • A track record of working on various products from inception to decent traction
  • Customer obsession and a passion for providing the best possible experience
  • Product thinking and the ability to make thoughtful decisions about the evolution of the product
  • Speed and the ability to work quickly to generate ideas and decide which things can ship now and what things need time
Technical Skills

The following technical skills are required:

  • Swift programming language
  • Swift UI experience
  • Multithreading programming
  • CI/CD infrastructure
  • Fastlane
  • SOLID principles
  • Git and understanding of different Git strategies
