Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Heavy Equipment Technician. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of our heavy equipment fleet.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repairs, with experience working on hydraulic systems, engines, and transmissions. A high level of attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and belt replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including hydraulic system faults and engine problems
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure seamless operation of the workshop
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a heavy equipment maintenance environment
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines, and transmissions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
