About the Role

The Senior Specialist – People Experience plays a pivotal role in providing strategic guidance and operational support on all people-related matters to leaders across Kinetic's Central Queensland business.

This position involves partnering with leaders to enhance the overall people experience, driving strategic people planning, and contributing to transformational initiatives aligned with the company's mission and values.

The role will involve travel to our Resources sites, particularly throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Leaders: Cultivate an exceptional people experience for all team members.
  • Strategic People Planning: Assist leaders in forecasting and planning for the future.
  • HR Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for leaders and team members on people-related issues within assigned businesses.
  • Coaching and Development: Coach business leaders and managers on best practices in people management, including policies, programs, and tactics.
  • Annual P&C Plan: Contribute to the development of the annual People and Culture strategic plan.
  • HR Programs: Implement HR-related programs, such as rewards and recognition and employee development initiatives.
  • Change Management: Evaluate the impact of proposed changes and initiatives on employees and manage change effectively to minimize disruption.
  • Driver Training: Lead driver training function in the region.
Requirements
  • Significant HR Experience: Significant human resources experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • HR Business Partner: Previous experience in a HR Business Partner, Generalist, or related high-level specialist role.
  • Consultation Skills: Strong consultation skills with experience influencing and interacting with executives.
  • HR Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of human resource management practices and employment-related legislation.
  • Multi-Business Unit: Demonstrated HR experience in a multi-business unit environment.
  • Coaching and Influencing: Proficiency in coaching, mediating, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively and exercise professional judgment.
