Senior Leadership Opportunity

The role of a Senior Program Director involves overseeing the management of large-scale programs focused on climate resilience and sustainable development.

This position requires strong leadership skills, experience in managing complex projects, and expertise in stakeholder engagement and relationship building.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing teams, coordinating projects, and ensuring timely delivery of results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve program objectives.
  • Mobilize and establish a program management team, including recruitment and onboarding of key staff.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement with government stakeholders, implementing partners, and private sector entities.
  • Coordinate project inception phase deliverables and ensure timely updates are provided.
  • Establish project management tracking systems for regular updates from partners.
Requirements:
  • At least 10-15 years of experience in program management, preferably in climate resilience, water resource management, or international development.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as development studies, international relations, or business administration.
  • Proven experience in managing competing demands and working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Understanding of procurement and grants/contract structures and processes.
  • Experience managing funds and subgrants to international and local NGOs/stakeholders.
