Early Childhood Intervention Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Intervention Specialist to join our team of dedicated professionals in the Goulburn, Queanbeyan and Eurobodalla region.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to supporting children and families in achieving their goals.

We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge in child development and evidence-informed best practice principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personalized support services in partnership with families to empower them to achieve their desired outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, observations, and analysis to identify developmental needs and tailor support options that meet each child's unique requirements.
  • Utilize coaching skills to build the capacity of families, caregivers, and professionals to support children in their everyday lives.
  • Foster connections between children, families, and their community to ensure inclusive participation in activities and settings.
  • Maintain accurate records of conversations, developmental progress, and goals within the designated digital platform.
  • Guide families through the NDIS application, implementation, and funding processes to ensure seamless support.
Requirements
  • Qualification in Speech Pathology or relevant field.
  • Expertise in child development, including ability to identify potential issues.
  • Proven track record of supporting families and children with developmental delays/disabilities, including effective strategy implementation for home and other settings.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach and early childhood intervention best practice principles.
