Occupational Health Specialist Opportunity

Role Overview

This role involves providing critical support to vulnerable individuals and families.

As an Occupational Health Specialist, you will offer high-level advice on strategic health issues related to child protection and abuse prevention.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct support to children, young people, and their non-offending family members
  • Offering timely, expert advice on complex health matters
Selection Criteria

Candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Current registration with a relevant Australian professional association OR equivalent tertiary qualifications
  • Proven ability to work effectively with Aboriginal services and community members, creating culturally safe environments
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with experience in building strategic relationships
  • Ability to independently problem-solve and prioritize tasks in complex situations
  • Capacity to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships through effective conflict resolution
