The Deputy Director, Student Advising will play a pivotal role in collaborating with divisions across the Students Portfolio to implement evidence-based retention and success strategies on behalf of the University.
This position will champion a strong continuous improvement culture, driving innovative solutions to enhance the student experience.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement holistic, multi-tiered advising and support models to deliver an outstanding student experience.
- Partner with divisions to design and deliver evidence-based retention and success strategies.
- Lead a team of advisors to provide seamless experiences through an omni-channel approach.
- Collaborate with senior colleagues to determine best practice approaches in program/service delivery.
- Engage effectively with a wide range of university stakeholders to negotiate effective solutions.
- Highly developed communication skills with an ability to lead and motivate others.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively and persuasively with senior colleagues.
- Extensive knowledge and skills in the Australian University sector or a breadth of professional experience in industry.
- Knowledge of and experience in implementing data-informed, innovative, and customer-focused solutions for information management and customer service.
