Job Title: Production Scheduler

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical professional to join our team in Sydney as a Production Scheduler. This key member of our manufacturing operations will be responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

About the Role:

This Production Scheduler will play a crucial role in the success of our manufacturing operations by creating and maintaining production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.

  • Create daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules using advanced planning tools and systems.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to ensure availability of materials and components.
  • Monitor work orders and production status to identify and resolve bottlenecks or delays.
  • Analyze capacity and resource utilization to improve production efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Adjust production plans in response to changes in demand, equipment failures, or material shortages.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of production metrics, inventory levels, and schedule performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production planning process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials flow, and shop floor operations.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Solid organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
