Job Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to fill the role of Construction Estimator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring all aspects of the project are thoroughly considered.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Analyze blueprints, determining material and labor costs, factor in equipment, and subcontractor expenses, considering potential risks and mitigating factors.
  • Utilize software tools such as On-Center to create and manage estimates efficiently, streamlining the process and improving accuracy.
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for estimating purposes, gaining valuable insights and expertise.
  • Identify potential costs risks like delays, material shortages, or unforeseen site conditions, developing strategies to minimize their impact.
  • Provide support in project management tasks as needed, ensuring timely completion of estimates and meeting project goals.
  • Offer exceptional customer service, prioritizing client relationships and maintaining professionalism, respect, and prompt response times.
Required Skills:
  • Proficient in construction estimating techniques and methodologies, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and managing resources effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to effectively manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors, building strong relationships and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations and minimizing risks.
  • Experience using estimating software such as On-Center, leveraging technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in cost calculations, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and resolving issues efficiently.
