Job Title:

Behaviour Support Specialist

About the Role:

This is a clinical position, not a general disability support or mental health support role.

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to develop and implement evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies for individuals under the NDIS framework.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behaviour Support Plans compliant with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework
  • Providing coaching and training on effective plan implementation to support workers and families
  • Supporting the reduction and elimination of Restrictive Practices

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Restrictive Practices and the NDIS Commission guidelines. A degree qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or a related field is essential.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner under the NDIS
  • Current NDIS Practitioner Registration (Core level)
  • Demonstrated experience conducting FBAs and developing PBS Plans
