About Us

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to join our Technology Centre in Canberra, Australia. This hub provides mail, digitisation, data capture and print services in a fast-paced environment. As Operations Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the centre and associated business within Canon Business Services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Strategically manage all aspects of the operational centre service to meet contractual and service level agreements
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team, promoting reward, recognition, and feedback throughout the Technology Centre
  • Recruit and retain a strong team, ensuring direct reports understand their role expectations
  • Manage daily productivity across site through real-time, daily, and monthly reporting tools
  • Evaluate client revenue and financial budgets, monitoring performance on a monthly basis
  • Identify trends and develop opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the Technology Centre
  • Understand the client's business and establish relationships to generate additional revenue
  • Assist Sales and Marketing to identify, investigate, and scope service extension opportunities and additional work requests to achieve growth objectives
  • Maintain compliance with Canon Business Services' Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Proven people management skills, including building and leading high-performing teams
  • Experience in leading operational teams, preferably in a similar environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Six Sigma/LEAN qualification is desirable
  • Understanding of cost reporting
