We seek an Operations Manager for Fixed Plant Maintenance to join our team across Pilbara Mine Operations. The successful candidate will lead a skilled team and deliver effective asset performance by executing asset health assessments, maintenance engineering, planning, scheduling, and shutdown coordination.

You will be part of a collaborative team, supported by your leader to achieve personal and team goals. With more time to spend on the things that matter, you can focus on your family, community, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and promote a positive safety culture to foster safety awareness and compliance among team members, prioritizing safety in all activities and operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying, evaluating, and implementing opportunities using Rio Tinto best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders to perform duties effectively.
  • Coach, develop, and lead a team of Fixed Plant Maintenance personnel.
  • Manage Fixed Plant Maintenance activities to maximize productivity while minimizing costs and environmental impact.
  • Ensure quality control in the maintenance process, reviewing the 5 whys process completed by direct reports.
  • Work closely with the planning and scheduling teams to ensure effective maintenance execution.
  • Verify that maintenance activities are carried out safely, according to plan, and cost-effectively.
