The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning to enhance network functionality, improve security measures, and maintain alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and manage all network and security infrastructure to maximize network uptime and ensure high availability.
- Maintenance and Improvement: Develop and improve processes that maintain network and security infrastructure through proactive monitoring, regular patching and upgrades, optimizing network infrastructure, measuring capacity and performance, performing backups, and undertaking preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Lead troubleshooting of issues through provision of 2nd level or 3rd level support to assist in recovery from network failures in a timely manner with minimal impact on business operations.
- Team Leadership: Develop and mentor team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development to ensure high competency levels within the team.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document networks, security models, operational procedures, and update the Knowledge Base library to ensure that knowledge is shared and retained.
- Project Delivery: Design and implement network and security solutions to meet project or security requirements in a timely manner.
- Vendor Management: Strategically manage vendor relationships to maximize service quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Strategic Decision Making: Make strategic decisions on network design and improvements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Resource Allocation: Allocate resources and tasks effectively within the team to meet project deadlines and performance targets.
We are looking for a candidate with tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, strong Cisco hardware experience, and experience supporting Citrix Netscalers, F5 Load Balancers, and Fortigates. Additionally, you should have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing network and security infrastructure, as well as experience working within a corporate environment with a large user base. Proven leadership experience in a network engineering environment, including team management, mentoring, and strategic project management, is also essential.
What We Offer:In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of AUD $140,000 - AUD $170,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as professional development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a collaborative work environment.
