About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Risk Manager to join our First Line Credit Risk team within the Consumer Finance & Digital Line of Business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and implement credit risk strategies that drive profitable growth and deliver market leading customer experience.
  • To adopt a continuous improvement mindset to design and embed changes to the credit process, improving customer experience while focusing on key risks.
  • To produce credit risk reports and analysis of portfolio trends to inform changes that improve portfolio performance.
  • To identify and investigate trends and insights from data to develop and refine credit policies.
  • To maintain and calibrate credit-related tools and processes, such as scorecards, decision engines, and system rules, to optimize risk/return trade-offs.
  • To collaborate with stakeholders on strategic business initiatives by providing subject matter expertise on risk data, analytics, policy, and guidance on risk appetite.
  • To monitor regulatory and industry developments and proactively identify challenges and opportunities.

About You

You will have a minimum of 5 years Australian retail credit risk experience and knowledge of local regulatory environment related to consumer credit.

You will be proficient in data extraction, manipulation, and analysis (SAS, SQL, Python, R) and have a good understanding of credit scoring, scorecard development, and monitoring.

Strong stakeholder management skills, written and verbal communication skills, and an understanding of the Australian retail credit market and competitive landscape are essential.
