This is a challenging role for a qualified Carpenter Team Leader who enjoys leading and motivating high-performing teams.

The key responsibilities of the Carpenter Team Leader include:

  • Supervising a team to carry out maintenance of bridges and drainage structures safely
  • Providing guidance and direction to team members and accepting responsibility for work carried out individually or in a team environment by others
  • Dealing with routine problems that arise during the course of work through the application of acquired knowledge and reference to standard guidelines and manuals

In order to be successful as a Carpenter Team Leader, applicants must have experience as a leader within a bridge maintenance and/or civil construction environment. A Carpentry Licence/Trade certificate and a Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent are also essential requirements. Additionally, applicants must hold a current Construction Industry White Card and an unrestricted NSW Motor Vehicle driver's licence, and be able to work at heights.

This is an ongoing full-time role located at Waratah, requiring residence within a 75km distance from the depot. The successful applicant will be required to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed.
