Tasmanian Research Development Officer

The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital. It provides community health, mental health, and primary healthcare services to the Tasmanian community through more than 300 sites.
A new Research and Innovation Centre has been established in Northern Tasmania, offering dedicated spaces for research, clinical trials, and research education activities.
The Role:- Develop, implement, and monitor a Strategic Research Plan in conjunction with senior managers, as well as building research capability and capacity.
- Establish the Research & Innovation Centre at the Launceston General Hospital for the North and Northwest Tasmanian Health Service.
This role involves being an interface between research, policy, and practice, with a focus on building research capability and capacity.
Main responsibilities include:
- Managing research and/or clinical trials within the public health system.
- Leading professional leadership qualities and management responsibilities.
- Maintaining positive relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
Critical Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role you will need strong skills in managing research, leadership, and communication.
