Job Overview
As a Payroll Systems Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration and compliance of payroll-related systems. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate award interpretation and system configuration within the Time & Attendance (T&A) platform and Payroll systems, thereby minimizing manual intervention and supporting accurate and compliant payroll outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with HR teams, Payroll, IT, and system vendors to ensure a seamless data flow from time capture through to payroll output.
- Investigate and resolve system discrepancies and compliance risks associated with award interpretation or data transfer.
- Conduct regular audits and testing of system changes and updates to ensure ongoing compliance and data integrity.
- Drive system enhancements and automation initiatives in the Time & Attendance and payroll ecosystem to reduce manual processes.
- Stay informed of legislative, award, and agreement changes, ensuring timely system updates and testing to maintain compliance.
- Provide input into payroll process improvement and system integration projects from a compliance and system configuration lens.
- Support cyclical HR/Payroll activities where T&A system configuration impacts processing (e.g., public holidays, Daylight Saving Time changes, new sites/stores setup).
Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience in Time & Attendance and Payroll systems, ideally with award interpretation exposure.
- Strong understanding of Australian Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and Fair Work legislation.
- Experience maintaining workforce management or time capture systems (e.g., Time2Work).

- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver system solutions.
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical/reporting skills.
