Security Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional Security Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of managed services and the needs of mid-tier clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform proactive patching on various applications to support clients' vulnerability management plans.
  • Collect and collate data to support regular cybersecurity-related reporting activities.
  • Conduct health checks on existing client solution implementations, including Security Awareness Training Platforms, EDR, Firewalls, and Application Control.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for security-related issues to customers based in Australia.
  • Stay up to date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Maintain documentation concerning security procedures, processes, and incidents.
  • Assist in conducting post-incident reviews and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a cybersecurity or related role, with a focus on vulnerability management, patching, and incident response.
  • Knowledge and understanding of common security frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies, including EDR, Firewalls, and Application Control solutions.
  • A general knowledge of technical infrastructure from desktop to firewall, including LAN & WAN networking principles.
  • Experience working with an IT outsourcer or MSP.
  • An understanding of ticketing systems and customer service principles.
