Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our clients' systems, by performing proactive patching on various applications, collecting and collating data for regular cybersecurity-related reporting activities, conducting health checks on existing client solution implementations, and providing technical support and troubleshooting for security-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Proactive Patching: Conduct regular patch management exercises to ensure all systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches.
  • Collect and Collate Data: Gather and compile data on a regular basis to support cybersecurity-related reporting activities.
  • Conduct Health Checks: Regularly assess client solution implementations to identify areas for improvement and ensure they meet industry standards.
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer expert technical assistance to clients in resolving security-related issues.
Requirements:
  • Proven Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a cybersecurity or related role, with a focus on vulnerability management, patching, and incident response.
  • Knowledge and Understanding: Strong knowledge of common security frameworks, including NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
  • Familiarity with Security Tools: Experience working with EDR, Firewalls, and Application Control solutions.
  • General Knowledge of Technical Infrastructure: Familiarity with technical infrastructure from desktop to firewall, including LAN & WAN networking principles.
  • Experience Working with IT Outsourcer or MSP: A minimum of 1 year of experience working with an IT outsourcer or managed service provider (MSP).
  • Understanding of Ticketing Systems: Strong understanding of ticketing systems and customer service principles.
