Role Summary

The Disability Justice Coordinator plays a pivotal role in providing a coordinated response to individuals with disabilities involved in the justice system. This includes offering comprehensive support and services, leveraging complex assessments, developing and reviewing plans, as well as monitoring progress and making referrals.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate support and services for clients, ensuring a tailored approach to minimize reoffending.
  • Operate within relevant legislation and departmental standards, exercising appropriate authorities and delegations.
  • Represent the department at court hearings and tribunals, ensuring an effective standard of care and supervision is maintained.
