Key Responsibilities
- Undertake risk-based supervision projects to ensure sector adherence to the law.
- Participate in thematic reviews of harms or problems across the sectors and contribute to developing solutions to regulatory issues.
- Assist in implementing effective regulatory strategies and interventions to achieve consumer and market outcomes.
- Coordinate the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.
- Support policy and law reform, including developing new guidance, training, and systems.
- Review applications for relief from legislation, analyze submissions, and prepare recommendations.
- Conduct assessments of products and services, and risks across the sectors.
- Maintain knowledge of ASIC's regulatory framework and toolkit.
About You
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Detailed knowledge of the financial advice and funds management sectors.
- Strong understanding of ASIC's regulatory environment.
- Experience assessing and challenging complex information.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to draft clear analysis and advice on complex matters.
