Land Design Specialist

The Role
  • You will lead key projects that accommodate growth and provide expert land design input into the council's town centre renewal program.
  • Work on tier one playgrounds across the city, developing a framework and detailed concept designs for key parklands and urban spaces.
  • Manage special projects arising from the Liveable Centres Program and prepare detailed designs and cost estimates for recreational, open space and landscape projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all designs are completed in accordance with professional standards.
  • Participate in community consultation processes and prepare concept design, detailed design, tender documentation and review of environmental factors.
  • Develop and document landscape master plans suitable for public exhibition and provide a technical advisory service to other departments on environmental and landscape matters.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture or an equivalent related field.
  • A current Class C Driver's license and White Card.
  • Minimum 4 years post-graduate experience in Landscape Architecture and high-level skills and experience in design and documentation using AutoCAD.
