Aerospace Instructor Pilot

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality flying instruction to trainees operating the EC135 T2+ helicopter.

This role requires the ability to conduct ab-initio pilot helicopter flying instruction, ground instruction, briefings, and lectures. The successful candidate will also operate Training Aircraft and Training Equipment, update trainee records, and brief the Pilot Training Officer on trainee progress.

In addition, the Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI) will mentor trainees, review their progress in ground Training events and assessments, and maintain aircrew qualifications and currency requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • CASA Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopter) - CPL(H)
  • CASA Command Instrument Rating (Helicopter)
  • CASA Night Visual Flight Rules Rating
  • CASA Sling Load and Winching Operations Endorsement
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Effective communication skills in a stressful environment
