Technical Officer - Structures/Mechanical

We are seeking a highly experienced technical professional to join our dynamic team in Nowra, NSW. As a key member of our sustainment engineering support team, you will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise to ensure the continuing airworthiness of the HATS EC-135 helicopter fleet.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural and mechanical disciplines, with experience working in an aviation maintenance environment. They will be responsible for conducting technical analysis, flight safety reviews, investigations, and developing modifications and repairs related to aircraft structural, mechanical, and propulsion systems.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplined team. You will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interpret technical information and generate requisite engineering outputs.

  • Conduct technical analysis, flight safety reviews, investigations, and develop modifications and repairs related to aircraft structural, mechanical, and propulsion systems.
  • Analyse structural and engine data in support of the structural integrity program.
  • Interpret Technical Information and generating requisite engineering outputs.
  • Assess and amend aviation publications and instructions.
  • Generate and maintain solutions to ensure our fleets' airworthiness in the Defence Aviation Safety Regulation (DASR) environment.
