Warehouse Store Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Store Assistant to join our team at Somerton. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, store, and manage inventory efficiently
  • Operate material handling equipment (MHE) such as order pickers and forklifts
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks or other transportation vehicles
  • Label and store parts accurately
  • Complete and verify paperwork to ensure accurate tracking of parts in the warehouse and to our customers
  • Pack and wrap parts for distribution
  • Perform general warehouse duties as required

Requirements:

  • Previous warehousing experience in a fast-paced environment - essential
  • Licence to operate MHE (Forklift and Order Picker) - essential
  • Mechanical experience desirable
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Eye for detail with quality control inspection of all parts carried out before leaving the warehouse
  • Effective communication skills
  • Understanding of safe work practices (OH&S)
  • Automotive knowledge advantageous for this role
