About Us

We are seeking a Community Health Promotion Officer to join our Sexual, Domestic and Family Violence team in the Health Equity and Harm Reduction Division.

The successful candidate will support the implementation of our LGBTQ+ Sexual, Domestic and Family Violence Program aimed at preventing and reducing the impact of SDFV experienced by LGBTQ+ people in NSW.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ people to have healthy and safe relationships.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Initiative and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Experience in health promotion and community engagement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the coordination, implementation, promotion and evaluation processes of our SDFV campaigns, programs, research, and resources
  • Contributing to the development of professional documents, briefings, and reports for stakeholders
  • Maintaining appropriate and timely statistics, administrative records, and written reports
  • Representing us at stakeholder meetings and giving presentations on diversity, discrimination, and LGBTQ+ sexual, domestic, and family violence
