Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to provide high-quality care and support to patients in a fast-paced surgical ward environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting psychosocial assessments, offering counselling, psychoeducation, and advocacy for clients within the hospital and broader community.

As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work independently and collaboratively to deliver compassionate and patient-centered care.

You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, using sound professional judgement to navigate complex situations and contribute to quality improvement activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Demonstrated experience in a health-related field, providing a range of Social Work interventions.
  • Able to prioritize work, manage stressful situations and work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • High level communication skills (written and verbal) and computer skills.
