Position Title: Educational Support Officer

Role Overview:

The Educational Support Officer plays a crucial role in assisting students with diverse learning requirements, including those with disabilities, within various educational settings. This position involves working closely under the guidance of teaching staff to foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes the achievement of educational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with identified learning needs, ensuring their engagement and participation in classroom activities.
  • Assist in the implementation of health and wellbeing initiatives, contributing to the overall welfare of students.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt learning materials and strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Participate in training sessions related to first aid and health support, ensuring readiness to address student needs.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current Working with Children Check Clearance.
  • Completion of mandatory training as required by the educational authority.
  • Willingness to undertake additional training in health support and medication administration based on student requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Experience in supporting students with emotional, physical, or intellectual disabilities.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with students, staff, and families.
