About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned financial expert to join our team on the Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communication System (EDHFCS) program. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a vital role in driving financial projects forward and supporting the business with your analytical skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to take their career to the next level. You will be responsible for handling contract reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis. Your expertise will also be required to prepare and process month-end close activities, including accounting journals, monthly P&L statements, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract reporting: Prepare and analyse financial reports to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Budgeting and forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, as well as forecast financial performance to inform business decisions.
  • Financial performance analysis: Analyse financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Month-end close activities: Prepare and process accounting journals, monthly P&L statements, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA) or studying towards.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting standards.
  • Ability to produce and analyse financial information.
  • Australian Citizen with a Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain).
