Pathology Coordinator Role

We are seeking a skilled Pathology Coordinator to join our team in Blacktown Hospital.

  • This role focuses on pathology coordination, ensuring high-quality and timely sample handling in clinical trials.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research that improves patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate pathology collection, processing, and shipment for clinical trials.
  • Ensure compliance with strict protocol time points to reduce violations.
  • Support patient care by improving treatment flow and accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical and research staff in a fast-paced unit.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III/IV in Pathology Collections or relevant qualifications deemed suitable.
  • Previous experience in pathology services including venepuncture, sample management (collection, processing and shipping) and safe laboratory working procedures.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills preferably in a clinical environment, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, patients and clinical staff.
