Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled payroll professional to join our team. As a Principal Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the payroll function and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payments.

You will interpret complex business issues and recommend best practices to improve payroll operations. You will also lead functional teams and projects, and be regarded as a specialist in the field of payroll.

As a key member of our finance team, you will have broad knowledge of the payroll discipline and in-depth expertise in payroll processes and procedures.

You will work independently with minimal guidance, solving complex payroll-related problems and making decisions that impact the organization's financial performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive employee data with confidentiality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Equivalent preferable but not essential
  • Minimum 10 years of payroll experience preferably within Australia
  • Knowledge of Kronos and SAP essential
  • Experience in working with HR on process improvements projects
  • Working knowledge of company policies and procedures related to Payroll
