Academic Leader Opportunity in Information Technology
Join a prominent institution as an Academic Leader for Information Technology programs. As the successful candidate, you will provide strategic leadership and academic direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality education and training programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of information technology curriculum, ensuring alignment with industry standards and strategic priorities.
- Oversee the management of ITS courses, including course planning, timetabling, staffing, and academic integrity across all delivery modes and locations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop innovative teaching methods and improve student outcomes.
- Mentor academic staff, promoting contemporary teaching practices and scholarly engagement within the curriculum.
- Engage with industry partners, alumni, and professional networks to enhance Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities and graduate outcomes.
- Contribute to institutional governance, committee leadership, and strategic planning to support organisational goals and maintain compliance with Higher Education Standards Framework.
- Leadership and Management: Minimum 5 years' experience in a leadership role, preferably in Australia, with demonstrated ability to build strong teams and manage limited resources.
- Teaching: Proven experience and knowledge of technical requirements appropriate to curriculum planning, content delivery, and assessment in the required field of education.
- External Relationships and Partnerships: Experience working collaboratively with partner organisations, industry, and community groups.
- Personal Attributes and Qualifications: AQF 10 (doctoral) qualification or equivalent blend of qualification and experience, with highly developed interpersonal communication skills.
