Job Opportunity for Locum Speech Pathologist

MediRecruit is seeking a dynamic and experienced Locum Speech Pathologist to work in the community, focusing on adult clients with various health conditions.

The successful candidate will have strong skills in dysphagia management, videofluoroscopy, and AAC. They will also possess excellent community experience, including working with progressive neurological disorders.

  • Key responsibilities include developing goals and care plans for clients to remain at home and active in their local community.
  • Collaboration with other clinicians is essential in offering holistic care to clients referred.

Other aspects of the role include:

  1. Providing practical solutions to promote independence and safety at home through working with clients, carers, and families.
  2. Working across funding streams such as HACC PYP, CHSP, and NDIS (with minimal involvement).
  3. Primarily home-based work with some opportunities for clinic appointments.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and SPA registration.
  • Experience in adult dysphagia management, videofluoroscopy, and AAC.
  • Community experience and knowledge of progressive neurological disorders.
  • Current driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Police Check and eligibility to work permanently in Australia.
